Five major solutions to the rebound phenomenon in the bending mold of the pipe bending machine

The operator of the pipe bending machine needs to undergo safety operation regulations training, be familiar with the structure, performance, principle, daily maintenance and programming of the machine, and pass the assessment before operating. So, how to reduce the rebound of the pipe bending mold? Experts say that after the bending is completed, the convex mold and the concave mold are separated, and when the workpiece is not subjected to external forces, the existence of elastic recovery causes the curvature radius and bending angle of the bent part of the bent part to change after the external bending force is removed, which is called rebound. The specific measures include the following:
1. Replace free bending with corrected bending, increase bending force, and heat bending.
2. For bending parts made of general materials, the pressing force can be increased or the gap between the convex and concave molds can be reduced to reduce rebound.
3. Choosing materials with high elastic modulus, low yield limit, and stable mechanical properties can also reduce the rebound amount of bent parts.
4. Improve part design by designing reinforcing ribs or forming edges in the deformation zone, increasing the rigidity of bent parts and the degree of deformation of formed edges.
5. The punch can be made into the shape shown, reducing the contact area between the punch and the workpiece, concentrating pressure on the bending deformation area, and increasing the degree of deformation in the deformation area.
6. V-shaped bending can subtract a rebound angle from the convex mold, while U-shaped bending can make the convex mold wall inclined equal to the rebound angle or make the convex mold top surface curved to compensate for the rebound on both sides.
